Fls. 4-7, l½-2 in. across; sepals and petals white, with an apical blotch of purple; lip with lateral lobes yellow, marked with reddish purple on the inside, the middle lobe white, streaked with bright purple. Cultivation

Chysis limminghei(Linden & Rchb.f.1858) Accepted name by Govaerts,R.1999 and 2003 - Chiron,G.& Archila Morales.F.2010(Kew) Intermediate to warm grower in well draining substrate(medium bark + cork pieces)best in basket. Humidity 75-80% troughout the year.Plenty of water during growing,fertilizer 1/2 of quantity every week. Rest period,autum-winter,keep cooler and dryer. I grow it like Lycaste,after leafdrop on the dry site(not drying out)until new growth appears in inflorescenes.
