Shrub, to 10 ft.: branchlets pubescent and usually glandular: lvs. oval or obovate to oblong-spatulate, acute or mucronulate, finely pubescent, ciliate, 1 – 3 1/2 in. long: fls. before the lvs., yellow or orange; calyx-lobes deltoid or triangular-lanceolate: corolla funnelform, about 1 in. long, the tube scarcely dilated up to the limb: lobes broad, acute: caps. finely glandular-pubescent. Fla.
