Masdevallia caloptera, Reichb. f. Lvs. oblong-ovate: peduncle short (5 or 6 in.), many fld.; fl. white with crimson streaks, the tails all slender and orange; dorsal lobe keeled and somewhat hooded; the lateral ones ovate - oblong; petals white, crimson- keeled, serrate. Peru.
