Begonia peltata, Hassk. (B. Hasskarlii, Zoll.). Upright: st. perennial: Lvs. peltate, ovate- acuminate, very thick and succulent, covered with a whitish tomentum, 6-9 in. long: fls. small, white, on long peduncles. Brazil.—It is the only begonia in cult. with thick, felted, peltate, silvery Lvs.
