Thymus herba-barona, Loisel. Subshrub, much branched, procumbent, glabrous below: flowering branches shortly ascending, 3-5 in. high: lvs. short-petioled, ovate- lanceolate, acute, base rotundate, viscid-glandular: floral lvs. rather similar: floral whorls approximate and capitate: fls. purplish: calyx white-pilose and red, glandular, upper lip trifid, lower teeth of calyx subulate and ciliate-barbed; corolla-tube slightly exserted. Corsica. CH
