Telopea oreades (Gippsland Waratah or Victorian Waratah) is a large shrub or small tree from Australia in the family Proteaceae.[1][2]

It grows to 12 metres high and has narrow-obovate to spathulate leaves, which are 11 to 28 cm long and 1.5 to 6 cm wide. Crimson flowers appear between October and December in its native range, the flowerheads comprising 36 to 60 individual flowers with green to pink bracts.[2][3] These are followed by leathery to woody fruits which are 5 to 7.5 cm long.[4]

A selected white-flowered form from the Errinundra Plateau, which was originally known as 'Plateau View Alba' or 'Plateau View White' was registered by the Australian Cultivar Registration Authority in 1990 as 'Errindundra White'.[5]

The species is known to produce hybrids with Telopea monganensis.[2]
