Paphiopedilum Fairieanum, Pfitz. (Cypripedium Fairieanum, lindl) Leaves up to 6 in. long and 1 in. broad, strap- shaped, light green; paler beneath: scape much exceeding leaves. green, hairy, 1-flowered; flowers about 3 in. greatest diameter; dorsal sepal nearly orbicular, about 1 1/2 in. long, the basal margin somewhat reflexed and undulate, reticulated at the recurved apex, ciliate, pubescent on back, greenish white, striated and reticulated with violet; petals lanceolate, undulate on the ciliate margin, green, striated with violet; lip a little shorter than the sepal, white at base, green at apex.
