St. creeping, mostly herbaceous, 4-5 ft.: lvs. lanceolate, acuminate, 4-5 in. long, repand-serrate, fleshy: fls. aggregated; calyx fleshy and short; corolla arched-tubular, 2-3 in. long, downy, orange-scarlet. E. India. B.M. 3843. P.M. 5:241.—Will succeed in an intermediate house. CH
