Trichostema (Greek, hair and stamen, referring to the filaments). Labiatae. Blue Curls. Hardy or half-hardy herbs, adapted to the wild-garden or rockery. Leaves entire; floral lvs. similar: floral whorls axillary, densely or laxly many-fld.; calyx campanulate, 10-nerved, 5-toothed; corolla-tube slender, usually exserted, without a ring inside; limb subequally 5-cleft, lobes oblong or broadly declinate; stamens 4, didynamous; ovary deeply 4-lobed: nutlets obovoid, reticulately rugose.—About 10 species, N.
