Pancratium maritimum, Linn. Figs. 2741 and 1936, Vol. III. Bulb globose, 2-3 in. diam. and with a neck: lvs. 5-6, linear, glaucous, persistent, becoming 2-2 1/2 ft. long: fls. white, very fragrant, 5-10 in an umbel on a compressed scape or peduncle; perianth-tube 2-3 in. long; segms. linear, 1 1/2 in. long, ascending; staminal cup very prominent, the teeth short, triangular and regular; free part of filaments 3 lines long. Spain to Syria. B.R. 161. CH
