Hydrophyllum appendiculatum, Michx. Loosely branching, 1-2 ft., hirsute with long spreading hairs: root-lvs. pinnately 5-7-parted; st.-lvs. palmately 5-7-angulated-lobed: fls. violet or purple, the stamens little exserted. Vt., south and west.
