Salix safsaf, Forsk. Egyptian Willow. A tree in general appearance like S. alba or S. babylonica. Several varieties have been described. The mature lvs. are bright green above and glaucous beneath, 3-5 in. long and over 1/2 in. wide. N. E. Afr., where it is frequently cult. along highways.—Intro. into Italy many years ago.
