Laeliocattleya radiata. Garden hybrid of L. purpurata and C. nobilior. Pseudobulbs almost round, bearing 1-2 coriaceous lvs. 7 in. long by 21/2 in. wide: fl.-stalks about 7-8 in. long, bearing several large, showy, violet- red fls.; labellum deep red, with purple veins and a whitish throat. CH
