Saxifraga petraschii, Sunderm. (S. tombeanensis X S. Rocheliana). Of neat habit and very free-flowering. The plant has compact cushions of glaucous lvs. in rosettes: sts. about 2 in. high, glandular and red-tinged, bearing heads of 3-5 large white fls. which are 1 in. across. March, April. A garden hybrid. G.C. III. 49:172. G. 33:231. Gn. 75, p. 190. G.M. 54:201.— Does best on a soil which has been liberally mixed with pieces of sandstone. CH
