Sempervivum fimbriatum, Schnittsp. & Lehm. Barren rosette 1 – 1 1/2 in. diam., the new rosettes nearly sessile: lvs. 50-60 to a rosette, oblanceolate, obscurely cuspidate, green, margins deflexed hairy, tip with a tuft of hairs, outer lvs. becoming red, 1/2-3/4 in. long; cauline lvs. pilose, lanceolate, red-tinted, much imbricated, lower ones 1 – 1 1/2 in. long: fl.-sts. including infl. 6-10 in. high, densely glandular-pilose: fls. about 12-merous, 1 in. across, bright red, in an open few-branched panicle; calyx glandular-pilose, segms. linear-lanceolate; petals lanceolate.
