Pentstemon rotundifolius, Gray. Fig. 2863. About 2 ft. tall, branching from the base, glaucous: lower lvs. thick and leathery, orbicular-ovate and obtuse, long-petipled, st.- lvs. sessile and cordate-orbicular: fls. 1-101/2 in. long, narrow-tubular, yellow-red, the lobes short and acute; sterile filament glabrous. N. Mex. B.M. 7055. G.C. III. 4:265. G.F. 1:473 (reduced in Fig. 2863). CH
