Pentstemon venustus, Douglas. St. erect, nearly simple, leafy, 2 ft. or less tall, glabrous: lvs. thickish, oblong- lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, very sharply serrate: infl. narrow, not leafy, the peduncles 1-3-fld.; fls. usually more than 1 in. long, somewhat 2-lipped, light purple, somewhat hairy within; sterile filament hairy above. Idaho, Ore., and Wash. B.R. 1309. CH
