Pfeiffera ianthothele, Web. (Rhipsalis ianthothele, Web. R. cereifdrmis, Foerst. P. cereiformis. Salm-Dyck). Sts. pendent, 1-2 ft. long, branching, less than 1 in. diam., 4- rarely 3-angled: ribs tuberculate: areoles at summit of tubercles short-woolly, soon naked, bearing 6-7 short bristles: fls. with very short tube, but the fl. bell-shaped, purple-red without, pure white within, nearly 1 in. long, little more than half as much wide: fr. the size of a cherry, rose-red, with bristles like those of the st.
