Phacelia Orcuttiana, Gray. Viscid, puberulent, about 1 ft. high: lvs. pinnatifid, somewhat lyrate, the lobes short- oblong and entire: fls. sessile in the at length elongated dense spikes; corolla rotate - campanulate, double the length of the calyx, with limb 3-4 lines broad, white, with yellow eye, nearly or quite destitute of internal appendages: caps, oval, nearly equaling the narrowly spatu- late (barely 2 lines long) sepals, 12-14- seeded; seeds oval, obscurely favose-re- ticulated between the transverse corrugations.
