Leptosyne gigantea, Kellogg (Coreopsis gigantea, Hall). Differs in being leafy at the top only, the others being leafy at the base: leaves 2-3-pinnaateL flowers smaller than in L. maritima, borne on short corymbose peduncles; disk 1/2 in. across: seeds not hairy. Cultured in S. Calif. — The flowers are said to be sweet-scented. CH
