Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture

Clematis lasiantha, Nutt. Climbing; tomentulose: lvs. ternate; lfts. roundish, few-toothed, tomentulose on both sides or glabrous above, 1-2 in. long: fls. 1-3, axillary from scaly buds on last year's branches, white, fragrant, 1½ in. across; sepals tomentose outside: achenes pubescent, with long feathery tails. Spring. Calif.
