Colchicum crociflorum, Regel, not Sims nor Schott & Kotschy. Corm ovate-oblong: lvs. all radical, sheathing at the base, a few sometimes on the st., flat and linear, margins minutely and usually distantly toothed: corolla white, with violet-purple stripes, especially within, the tube about 2 in. long, the limb scarcely 1-1⅓ in. long; style exceeding the stamens.
