Strobilanthes micholitzii, Ridley. Subshrub, 3-4 ft. high: st. 4- angled, dilated at the nodes: lvs. lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 6 x 2 in., one of the pair much larger than the other, acuminate at both ends: racemes axillary, very numerous, cone-like, 1/2 – 3/4 in. long; bracts rounded, white, tipped with green: fls. white, projecting slightly from the cone. Sumatra. CH
