Aglaonema costatum, Veitch. Very dwarf and compact: Ivs. heart-shaped, thick, 3 in. wide, one-third longer than wide, seldom exceeding 5 in. long, dark shining green, with midrib ivory-white and scattering blotches of white. Holds its tufted Ivs. through the winter. Moluccas. CH
