Tree, 15-20 ft. high: lvs. pinnately compound; lfts. 7-10-paired, ovate-oblong, oblique and round at base, glabrous: panicles puberulent, divisions 3-11-fld.: fls. greenish yellow; staminal tube cohering one-third its length, anthers 10, hairy: caps. tomentose, rugulose, 5-6 lines diam. Trop. Amer. and intro. into S. Fla. CH
