Trichosanthes bracteata, Voigt (T. palmata, Roxbg.). St. stout, climbing to 30 ft.: lvs. broadly ovate, scabrous above, usually deeply 3-7-lobed; lobes acute; margin dentate: peduncle of male fls. 4-8 in. long, 5-10-fld.: fr. globose, red with orange stripes about 2 in. long. India. CH
