St. slender, solitary, 6-9 ft. high: lvs. in a dense, graceful cluster; blades 3-5 ft. long, bifurcate one-fourth of their length, each lobe lanceolate-acuminate, divergent: spadix from between the lvs., about 3 ft. long; fls. small, the calyx and corolla equal. W. Brazil. CH
