Small or tall, 2 -12 in. or more: lvs. 1-3 in. or more long, less than 1/2 in. wide, lanceolate or narrow- elliptic or narrow oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, nearly or quite devoid of farina, wing-petioled, very nearly orquite entire: fls. rose or lilac-rose, on filiform pedicels, Siberia, Mongolia, subarctic N. Amer. CH
