Hawthoria albicans, Haw. (H. laevis, Haw. H. ramifera, Haw. Aloe dlbicans, Haw. A. marginata, Lam. Apicra albicans, Willd.). Simple: lvs. ascending or outcurved, pungently acute, concavely triquetrous, 1Yi x 3-4 in., glossy, pale, neither roughened nor mottled: infl. 1 ft. high, branched; fls. green- and rosy-lined. Cape. B.M. 1452. Salm, Aloe §5, f. 1. Berger 29.—A greenish form, less margined than in the nearly white type, is var. virescens, Baker (H. virescens, Haw. Aloe virscens, R. & S.).
