Tree, to 60 ft.: branchlets glabrous or sparingly hairy: lfts. 5-9, oblong to oblong- lanceolate, acuminate, rounded at the base, serrate, glabrous above, bearded in the axils of the veins beneath, 3-5 in. long: racemes to 18 in. long, glandular: fr. including the suborbicular wings 1-1 1/2 in. across.
