Rochea coccinea, DC. (Kalosanthes coccinea, Haw. Crassula coccinea, Linn.). Plant robust, shrubby, 1-2 ft. high: lvs. very closely imbricated, ovate-oblong or ovate, 1-1 1/2 x 3/4-1 in.: fls. bright scarlet, 1 1/2-2 in. long, fragrant, borne in summer. Cape. Gn. 46, p. 360. B.M. 495.—Showy; hybrids are in cult.
