Rubus wilsonii, Duthie. Scandent shrub with terete very spiny brown-purple glaucescent sts., the branches quadrangular and red-purple and more or less winged between the nodes: lvs. pinnate, of 3—5 ovate more or less cordate strongly double serrate lfts. which are glabrous and deep green above and paler beneath and sparsely prickly on the ribs underneath: fls. purple, in axillary and terminal few-fld. fascicles (terminal clusters 4-5-fld., axillary 2-3-fld.), the petals about 1/3in. broad and long. Cent. China.
