Ruellia lorentziana, Griseb. Glandular herb, little branched, the sts. quadrangular: lvs. decussate-opposite, channeled below, oval, subcordate or attenuate at base, acuminate: infl. terminal in a lax leafy panicle; fls. long-peduncled, usually in 3's, bluish purple; sepals free, linear; corolla funnelform, 5-lobed, rounded, the inferior emarginate; ovary oblong: caps. cylindrical-conical. Uruguay. R.H. 1902:136.
