Mesembryanthemum stellatum, Mill. Three or 4 in. high, fleshy and tufted: lvs. crowded, 1/3 in. long, glaucous, semi-cylindrical, scabrous, with many hairs at the apex: peduncles hairy: fls. reddish violet, the calyx campanulate, ¼ in. long.
