Aster macrophyllus, Linn. Perennial about 2½ ft. tall with reddish angular st.: Lvs. cordate and petioled below, on the upper part of st. sessile and acute: rays about 16, violet-lavender, the involucrate bracts prominently green-tipped. E. N. Amer.—Suitable for dry shady places.
