 Beaucarnea gracilis, Lem. (B. oedipus, Rose. Nolina histrix, Hort.). Becoming 30 ft. high, greatly swollen at base, variously branched: Lvs. very glaucous, rough-edged, straight, ¼ x 18-20 in.: infl. short-stalked; fls. 1/14 in. long: fr. ⅜ in. long and broad. S. Mex. Centr. U.S.
