A closeup of the thorny branches of a large individual of floss silk tree (Ceiba sp.). This picture was taken by me, Pablo D. Flores, in Rosario, Argentina, on 1 March 2006. The tree is one of the many of the two species of Ceiba (C. speciosa, C. chodatii, locally known as palo borracho) planted along Belgrano Avenue, near the Paraná River.
