Gmelina arborea, Roxbg. (G. rheedii, Hook.). Unarmed tree, sometimes attaining 60 ft., deciduous, flowering with the young lvs.: lvs. cordate-ovate, entire: panicles often 1 ft.long, terminal. India, Malaya. B.M. 4395. — Cult, apparently only in S. Calif, by Franceschi, who keeps G. rheedii separate.
