Shrub, 4 ft.: leaves persistent, oval to oval-oblong, ½-l in. long, crenate-serrate, ciliate: peduncles axillary, 1-3-fld.; corolla carmine-purple, nodding, tubular, 1½ in. long; sepals oblong, ⅓ in. long. Summer. Mex.
