Apicra spiralis, Baker (A. imbricata, Willd. Aide spiralis, Linn. A. imbricata, Haw. A. cylindrica, Lam. Ha- worthia imbricata, Haw.). Sts. somewhat clustered, erect. 6-12 in. high; about 2¼ in. diam., including Lvs.: Lvs. broadly triangular-acuminate, biconvex, ½ x 1¼-1½ in., glaucescent, the margin slightly granular: infl. about 1 ft. high, unbranched; fls. greenish, ½ in. long, more than twice as long as the pedicels.
