Ariocarpus kotschubeyanus, Schum. (A. sulcatus, Schum.). Plants nearly concealed by the ground, often less than 1 in. broad at top, with a deep thick root: fl.-tube nearly ⅗ in. long; petals ⅘ in. long, rose-pink. Cent. Mex.—Much smaller than the last two. Only recently re-intro. into cult. A very distinct species. A. McDowellii, Haage & Schmidt, is the same or a near species.
