 Baptisia lanceolata, Ell. About 2 ft., pubescent when young, but becoming nearly glabrous: Lvs. short-stalked, the lfts. thick, lanceolate to obovate and obtuse : fls. large, dull yellow, axillary and solitary but close together near ends of branches. Pine barrens, N. C. to Fla.
