Bomarea chontalensis, Seem. Leaves 6-8 inches long, broadly lanceolate: umbel very large; rays 4-6- flowered; flowers numerous, 2½ in. long; outer segments waxy, wavy margined, rosy red or pink with brown spots, inner ones thinner, pale greenish yellow, spotted.—The largest-flowered species; very effective when well grown.
