Shrub: Ivs. broadly elliptic or elliptic-ovate to elliptic-lanceolate, 2—4 in. long, dentate, glandular beneath, and sparingly stellate-pubescent; petioles slender, ⅓-½in. long: fls. pink in dense cymes on pubescent stalks shorter than the petioles: fr. violet.
