Cercocarpus betulaefolius, Nutt. (C. parvifolius var. glaber, Wats. C. parvifolius var. betuloides, Sarg.). Small tree, to 30 ft.: lvs. thinner, bright green and glabrous above at maturity, pubescent or glabrescent beneath, ½-2 in. long, with 5-6 pairs of veins: style 2-4 in. long. Calif.
