Geonoma pauciflora syn. Geonoma elegans, Mart., Var. robusta, Drude. St. 6-10 ft. high, 3-4 lines diam.: segms. rarely 3, usually 5-7, 1- nerved, 15-14 in. long, some 4 lines wide, intermixed with broader, many-nerved ones, all long, falcate-acuminate: spaclix about 10 in. long, the fls. very small, inserted in deep pits. Cent. Brazil. CH
