Geranium macrorrhizum, Linn. A large- rooted species, about 1 ½ ft. high, with a st. suffruticose at base: lvs. smooth, round, basal ones 5-lobed, cauline 3-lobed, toothed and often colored red: fls. in bunches at the end of the st.; calyx inflated; the sepals ovate and 3-nerved; petals epatulate and blood-red in color. May to July. S. Eu. B.M. 2420. S. 271. CH
