Herbertia pulchella, Sweet. Bulb or conn globose, ½ in. or more thick; tunics brown: lvs. about 4, linear, plaited, 3-6 in. long: spathes 1½ in. long: fls. lilac; outer segms. obovate, with a white claw spotted lilac. Chile, Argentina, Brazil. B.M. 3862.
