Conn depressed- globose, Kin. diam., with fibrous covering: lvs. narrow, strongly ribbed: fls. many, in a long loose erect spike, typically with pale green segms. and black throat. B.M. 549. L.B.C. 16:1548. F.S. 2:124. Var. cana, Eckl. Segms. pale blue; throat black. B.M. 789 (as I. maculata amethystina). Var. caesia, Ker. Segms. pale lilac; eye greenish. B.R. 530.
