Mallotus philippinensis, Muell. Arg. Monkey-face tree. Kamila tree. Lvs. broadly ovate, rough, entire or nearly so, alternate: caps, not prickly but covered with red-brown glands which furnish the kamila (or kamala) dye of commerce, used in dyeing silks. India to Austral.
